This event will be held in German.

Our project "Questions to Colleague AI" takes stock. A digital citizens' council debated using AI in human resources departments and in care. What were the questions, and what were the results?
Students from the University of Stuttgart and the Media University who accompanied the debate will report on it.
And they ask: What do the people of Stuttgart think about it? In an interactive format where the "stage" belongs not to the experts but the citizens, the question is: What should AI be allowed to do? Join the discussion!

This event is part of the series Questions for Colleague AI, which is part of the Year of Science 2022 – Participate!, supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
This is a University of Stuttgart project: Interchange Forum for Reflecting on Intelligent Systems (IRIS), International Center for Cultural and Technological Studies (IZKT) and the Hochschule der Medien in cooperation with the Stuttgart City Library.

Engaging with the Public - Knowledge Transfer

IRIS aims to critically reflect on intelligent systems, their foundations, mechanisms, and effects with regard to larger societal contexts. Since the development and use of intelligent systems have the potential to fundamentally change our society, IRIS also seeks to initiate public debates on questions of responsible design of intelligent systems and to provide a forum for dialogue and knowledge transfer between science and society.

Here you can find more details about our diverse, upcoming public engagement activities as well as see what we've offered in the past. Our public events and activities in knowledge transfer are supported by the International Center for  Cultural and Technological Studies (IZKT).
