Self-learning systems have long since arrived in our working world: Often referred to as artificial intelligence, these new "colleagues" optimize production processes, supply chains and logistics solutions, recognize patterns in diagnostics and support tailored marketing. It is high time to get acquainted with the new colleague AI, and in the best case: to become friends. But what changes will these new additions to our workforces bring with them? How is our everyday working world changing, and in which direction is our working society heading? What challenges are companies facing, and how are employees reacting?

In a media environment full of utopias and dystopias, we will try to provide a down-to-earth analysis of the changes, the opportunities and risks, together with our panel of experts. After all, disruptive changes have been looming for a long time, and these demand interdisciplinary reflection and social debate.

Short welcoming speech: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfram Ressel, Rector of the University of Stuttgart

Wilfried Porth, former Member of the Board of Management at Daimler AG and a member of the University Council at the University of Stuttgart, Prof. Dr. Bettina Kohlrausch, Professor for Social Transformation and Digitalization at the University of Paderborn and Welf Schröter, Head of the Social Technology Design Forum at DGB Baden-Württemberg.

Moderation: Prof. Dr. Alexander Mäder, Hochschule der Medien
