DANIS hosted a CSS Workshop together with the IMS as an academic exchange event for researchers interested in computational and social scientific approaches. The workshop brought together participants from IRIS, the IMS, and CSS at the University of Stuttgart, as well as the Chair of Data Science in the Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Mannheim.
The workshop provided an opportunity for participants to present their work, receive feedback, explore potential collaborations, and discuss recent developments in AI and future directions for the field. Participants engaged with key concepts, methods, and practical tools related to CSS. Through presentations and interactive discussions, they explored how computational approaches can support the study of complex social, cultural, and institutional questions concerning AI and society.
The sessions encouraged active participation and created space for exchange across disciplinary backgrounds. The workshop also served as a platform for academic networking and collaboration, bringing together participants with diverse research interests and levels of experience.
