Cyber Valley Day 2026 in Tübingen

August 4, 2026

Celebrating ten years of the Cyber Valley Innovation Campus: Cyber Valley Day 2026 brought together researchers, innovators, start-ups, and partners to exchange ideas, showcase research, and strengthen the Cyber Valley community. We were happy to be part of the event and connect with people from across the ecosystem.

This week, we took the opportunity to join Cyber Valley Day 2026 in Tübingen and celebrate 10 years of Cyber Valley.

As part of the Interchange Forums for Reflecting on Intelligent Systems (IRIS), we presented our collaborative research on Human–AI interaction in aviation and how AI assistants could support pilots as team partners in the cockpit. Above that we presented our research on safe and certifiable AI.

We highlighted our methods with the help of our flight simulator, thus giving visitors the chance to take the pilot seat and experience themselves what is happening in the cockpit - and what could happen.

Beyond presenting our own research, the event was a great opportunity to connect with other researchers, AI experts and start-ups working on a wide range of AI applications. We had many intriguing conversations about current developments in AI and about some of the bigger questions surrounding its use: How can AI be implemented responsibly and ethically? And what does it take for people to trust and accept AI in high-risk environments?

It was inspiring to see how these questions are approached in a wide variety of fields and to gain new ideas and perspectives for our own research.
