Our colleagues Esra Dönmez and Dr. Agnieszka Faleńska (independent research group leader of the group Diversity-Aware NLP Intelligent Systems, DANIS) had a great time presenting two of their recent projects at ACL 2025:
"I understand your perspective: LLM Persuasion through the Lens of Communicative Action Theory"
"AI Argues Differently: Distinct Argumentative and Linguistic Patterns of LLMs in Persuasive Contexts" – a collaboration with Maximilian Martin Maurer and Gabriella Lapesa from GESIS and Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf.
The conference offered valuable feedback and sparked many insightful discussions. We look forward to continuing these conversations both online and at future events!
Aditionally Esra Dönmez presented her recent project “I understand your perspective: LLM Persuasion through the Lens of Communicative Action Theory" also at the 11th International Conference on Computational Social Science IC2S2 in Norrköping, Sweden.
